Question: I’m studying abroad in Barcelona and want to visit Italy for a week. What should I see?
Answer: Stick to Rome and Florence for the best in art, culture and especially if you’re a first time visitor.
Aee Rome and Florence (you can do each in two days if you plan the sites right) and try a pub crawl in Roma. Those are fun, you meet outside the Colosseum metro stop at 8 or 830 every night and they only take 120 people max but they will hand out fliers all day at the tourist sites. It’s a great way to see the best night life and meet other college kids.
Florence has the best museums because it was the birthplace of the renaissance. From there, getting a train to Venice is easy. Take the trains and try to spend one or two nights in each city so you don’t get overwhelmed with traveling. There is so much to do and see, it’s easy to bite off more than you can chew.
