7 Views of Florence You’ve Never Seen Before

Most travelers stop by Florence, Italy at some point. It’s a European hot-spot destination. And everybody wants pictures of the same stuff– the Ponte Vecchio (old bridge), Piazza Michelangelo, the large Duomo, and sneaky tourists even brave the angry Italian curators at the Galleria dell’Accademia to snap photos of Michelangelo’s David.

But after living there for a while, I saw Florence in a different light–my tourist status dissolved and I assimilated as a foreigner. I discovered the city is so much more than the main attractions. Here are seven new ways of looking at Florence, that most passersby simply overlook for lack of time.
